1st PreAP Geometry (1st 6 wks) Assignments

Complete each day you are in class. You must have 3 sentences discussing the prompt/problem. If you do not have a sentence you will loose 5 points for each of the 3 sentences (15 points a day). -20 points if not completed at all.

You will need to find a company slogan and turn it into a conditional statement (run the slogan by me first. You want to find one that no one else is using). You will create a presentation of the different conditional statement formats and their equivalent statements. Follow the instructions and rubric attached.

Everyone should have selected a project number by now using the GT/PreAP project assignment in our Virtual Classroom. Each student is working on an individual project that will count 50 points toward your major grade to be combined with notebook grade for the remaining 50 points.

It is important that you get started on this project and let me know if you have any questions. Don't wait until the last week than lose points because you don't have time to complete it. Each student will complete individually out of class. You can turn it in early when completed.

You can use this assignment to turn in the project and will need to attach. Depending on your project, it may be a presentation, video, poster, etc....

Complete the first few minutes of class each day. Bellwork will routinely be checked daily and if not completed you will not receive credit for that day.

Write 3 complete sentences for each day. You will not get any credit for answers given, you must WRITE about the concept behind the problem. Bellwork is to be completed the first 5 minutes of class and may be graded at any point after the 5 minutes for each day.

After view the Bellwork prompt/questions (virtual class site), make 3 complete sentences related to the prompt or question for the corresponding day.

Complete questions. You only have the 45 min class period to complete.

Complete 3 sentences related to the current days bellwork prompt for each day Tues-Friday. Remote &/or absent students, you can view the prompt on our Virtual Classroom for each day.

Answer all questions

Complete Bellwork for each day of the week we are in school. If not in the classroom go to Google Site (Class virtual web page) to see the bellwork prompt for each day.

You must include at least 3 complete sentences using "math talk" about how to solve or approach the problem. Hint: Even if you do not know how to derive the answer, discuss what you do know about the problem.

Spell out your name using picture for each letter of your first name. For example: Anna could have a picture of an apple, Nickle, napkin, arrow. You can either draw the items (so they can be hung up for display) or you can find the pictures on google and insert them on the document attached. If you draw the items, take a pic of it and upload here.

Please complete the questions so I can get to know you better:) Online students complete by due date (Wednesday for proof of attendance). In-class students complete as soon as you set up your google classroom.
