THS Choir
The THS/TMS is comprised of about 160 members, who sing perform regularly for the community, and in competitions and festivals as well. Select members participate in the TMEA (Texas Music Educator's Association) All-State Choir audition circuit, and UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest and both the region and state levels.
We have several different levels of choirs: 6th grade/beginner girls, 7th/8th grade advanced girls, middle school boys, high school mixed choir, high school men's ensemble, and high school women's ensemble. Auditions are not necessary for choir, and students are placed in the appropriate level of choir by the director based on experience and ability. Students (particularly high school) who are interested in choir need to come and speak with Mrs. Beasley prior to signing up for choir for the next school year. There is no formal audition process.
